This weekend in sports is loaded with action at CappersMall because of the annual Thanksgiving day of football.
The big weekend of football starts with the annual game in Detroit when the Lions host the Bears at 12:30PM. Detroit has been posted as an early 7 point favorite with the total set at 47.
Chicago is coming off a 21-13 win as they covered the 5 point spread. The game easily stayed under the total. The Bears are now 5-6 SU and ATS. They have gone over 6 of 11 tries and are currently riding a two game winning streak.
Detroit is coming off one of their worst performances of the year in a 34-9 drubbing at the hands of the New England Patriots. The Lions have now lost 2 straight and sit at 7-4 on the season trailing the first place Packers by one game. The Lions have not been kind to bettors this season. They are 5-6 ATS overall and only 3-4 ATS as a favorite. They’ve stayed under the total 9 of 11 games.
In the second NFL game of the day the Dallas Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles in a critical battle in the NFC East. Bookmakers have opened the Cowboys as a 3 point favorite with a total of 54.5.
Philadelphia is coming off a 43-24 win over Tennessee easily covering the 11 point spread and going over the total. The Eagles are 8-3 SU including 6-0 at home. They are also 8-3 against the betting number excelling as a favorite where they are 6-1 as the favorite. They have gone over 8 of 11 times this season. Philadelphia is 2-3 SU on the road this season but they are 3-2 ATS away from home.
Dallas has won 2 in a row overall and are coming off a 31-28 come from behind win in New York over the Giants Sunday Night. Overall they are 8-3 SU but only 3-3 at home. Dallas is 6-5 ATS overall but only 2-4 ATS at home and 3-4 ATS as a favorite.
The last NFL game of the night will be on the West coast where The San Francisco 49ers will host their rival Seattle Seahawks on NFL Network. The 49ers opened as a 2 point favorite and stand as a 1 point favorite as of this writing. The total is 40. Both teams have had their struggles this year.
Seattle is 7-4 overall and 5-1 at home SU. They are 5-6 ATS and only 1-4 ATS away from home. They are coming off a 19-3 home win over Arizona.
San Francisco has had ups and downs on and off the field. They did find a way to come back at home and beat the Redskins 17-13 but failed to cover the 8 point spread. The game also stayed under the total. The Niners are also 7-4 SU including 3-2 at home. Against the spread the Niners are only 1-4 ATS at home. Both of these teams trail the first place Cardinals by 2 games.
In college football we have two games on Turkey Day. TCU is a 6 point road favorite at Texas and LSU is -2.5 at Texas A&M.
TCU is 9-1 overall and they’ve been rock solid against the point-spread sporting an 8-2 ATS record including 4-1 ATS on the road and 6-3 ATS as a favorite.
Texas has struggled this year for first year coach Charlie Strong. The Longhorns are 6-5 overall and 7-4 against the spread including 3-3 ATS at home and 3-2 ATS as an underdog.
LSU has had a tough year going 7-4 SU in the SEC with a 7-3-1 spread record. They are 2-2 ATS on the road.
Texas A&M is also 7-4 overall with a 4-7 ATS record including 1-5 at home vs. the number
